The 7th Annual Caribbean Jerk Festival

Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation is thrilled to announce the 2025 Caribbean Jerk Festival!

The 7th Codman Square Caribbean Jerk Festival is a family-friendly event that highlights the cultural contributions that community members hailing from the Caribbean Islands have made to the Codman Square commercial corridor, and beyond. Sample delectable juicy jerk chicken, vegetarian options, and many other bites from award-winning Dorchester Restaurants. Stay for the Caribbean-inspired kids’ activities, live DJ, and steel drum orchestra performance, and support the many local merchants and community organizations participating throughout the district. We can’t wait to see you for an afternoon of fun and discovery of everything that Codman Square has to offer.

The 5th annual Caribbean Jerk Festival is a family-friendly event that highlights the cultural contributions that BIPOC leaders hailing from the Caribbean Islands have made to the Codman Square Commercial Corridor, and beyond. Past years have included musical and dance performances, and this year will be no different. Caribbean artists, small business owners, community leaders, and chefs serving up Caribbean fare will be celebrated for a family-friendly afternoon in the heart of Codman Square.

This year, we are doing things in a bigger way. To attract even more visitors, Jerkfest will be on a Saturday afternoon, immediately following the Dorchester Farmers Market happening at Codman Square Park. And for the first time in Jerkfest history, local merchants and craft vendors will be on site to sell their local products on the festival grounds. We are also incorporating activities that will extend into the commercial corridor for a day of Jerking and Caribbean celebration.

Will you join us in putting the Caribbean Jerk Festival on the Map?
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the event.
