On Saturday, December 2, 2023, Keolis and the MBTA brought hundreds of children and families aboard a special, free train ride to the North Pole! The celebration featured fun activities for the children, including the opportunity to meet familiar holiday characters, enjoy some treats, and listen to a reading of Chris Van Allsburg’s classic “The Polar Express” by special guest readers while onboard the train!
The Fairmount Indigo Transit Coalition, for which CSNDC is a Lead Partner, was gifted 80 tickets to invite community members to join the fun. CSNDC’s Director of Community Organizing and Resident Engagement, Marilyn Forman, attended as an “elf,” along with many families from CSNDC’s partners in the coalition. A great time was had by all.
